Job description
- Checking the quality and safety of food products at various stages of production, processing, packaging, storage, and distribution.
- Test food samples for physical, chemical, and microbiological properties, such as color, texture, flavor, moisture, acidity, pH, shelf life, allergens, contaminants, and pathogens.
- Inspect food facilities and equipment for hygiene, sanitation, and maintenance, and report any issues or deviations from food standards and regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, chemistry, or a related field
Some relevant work experience in the food industry or a laboratory setting
Strong skills in analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and time management
Familiar with various food testing methods and equipment, food standards and regulations, food safety management systems, and quality assurance principles.
