Job description
Responsibilities:
-Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the hotel sector.
-Research market trends and competitor activities to develop effective sales strategies.
-Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective hotel clients (e.g., hotel chains, boutique hotels, resorts).
-Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in hotel chains and independent hotels.
-Pitch and present company products/services to potential clients in the hotel industry.
-Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals effectively.
-Work closely with existing hotel clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term collaboration.
-Monitor account performance and provide support for client needs and feedback.
-Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, supply chain, product development) to meet client expectations.
-Work with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and smooth onboarding for hotel partners.
-Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
-Maintain accurate records of sales activities and forecasts.
Prepare regular reports and updates for management.
-Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events related to the hospitality industry.
-Organize product demonstrations or tastings for hotel decision-makers (e.g., F&B managers, purchasing departments)
Requirements
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
-Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within the hotel, hospitality, or FMCG sector.
-Experience dealing with hotel procurement, purchasing teams, or key decision-makers is a strong advantage.
-Strong understanding of the hotel industry and its procurement or operations processes.
-Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships with B2B clients.
-Results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently under pressure.
-Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
-Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Ability to speak Mandarin will be an added advantage.
-Willingness to travel locally or regionally for client meetings and industry events.
-A valid driver’s license may be required depending on the role’s nature.
