Job description
Install and maintain various types of cabling systems, such as Ethernet, fiber optic, coaxial, and telephone cables, within buildings or data centers.
Collaborate with network engineers and IT teams to carry out cabling infrastructure layouts, ensuring proper network connectivity and scalability.
Terminate and label cables, connectors, and wall jacks according to industry standards to ensure proper signal transmission.
Use cable testing equipment to verify the integrity and functionality of installed cabling, and troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues as they arise.
Install, organize, and maintain network equipment, including racks, cabinets, and patch panels, for neat and efficient cabling.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations to maintain high-quality cabling infrastructure.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries during cabling installations and maintenance.
Requirements
Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or coursework in cabling and network infrastructure is a plus.
Previous experience in cabling or network installation is beneficial.
Knowledge of cabling standards and practices.
Familiarity with cable testing tools and equipment is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
