Job description
Storekeeper Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock and materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Organize and maintain inventory in a clean, safe, and systematic manner.
- Monitor stock levels and report low-stock items to management for replenishment.
- Prepare, pack, and issue parts, materials, and products according to operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with periodic inventory audits.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of all products and spare parts.
- Coordinate with suppliers, purchasing personnel, and other departments regarding stock movements.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Keep the warehouse and storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Assist in loading and unloading deliveries when required.
- Support management with inventory reports and other store-related administrative tasks.
Requirements
Requirements
- Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in warehouse, inventory, or storekeeping is an advantage.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of handling stock and warehouse activities.
- Responsible, honest, and detail-oriented.
