Job description
- Assist in the overall project implementation, including interior fit-out and renovation work at the site.
- Monitor sub-contractors’ work on-site, ensuring the work sequence, methods, and quality are followed.
- Coordinate daily with sub-contractors about worker deployment, logistics, and reporting.
- Calculate quantities based on construction drawings.
- Support the Construction Manager and Project Manager in managing interior fit-out and renovation projects.
- Attend weekly project meetings when needed.
- Manage project changes that affect progress during construction.
- Resolve on-site issues with the site team, consultants, and sub-contractors.
- Communicate with main contractors, sub-contractors, consultants, suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure work follows drawings and specifications.
- Join site meetings, review inspection schedules, and complete inspection checklists.
- Prepare and review project documents like method statements, material submissions, construction drawings, and specifications for the relevant authorities.
- Be willing to be stationed at outstation locations if required.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least SPM qualification or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of working experience in the construction, interiors & fit-out, renovation, or related industry is required for this position.
- Candidate must be proactive, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Must be willing and able to travel outstation as required.
