Job description
Quality System Management: Maintain and improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with international standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
Defect Analysis & Troubleshooting: Lead investigations into quality issues or part defects. Conduct root cause analysis using 8D reports,5-Why analysis, or Fishbone diagrams, and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Inspection Protocol: Establish and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incoming raw materials, in-process assembly, and outgoing final product inspections (including visual inspections under magnification).
Supplier & Customer Quality: Handle customer quality complaints professionally, prepare technical feedback reports, and conduct periodic quality audits on key suppliers.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with Production, Packaging, and Engineering teams to minimize scrap rates, optimize cycle times, and prevent external cosmetic or structural product damage during the packaging/binning process.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related technical discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills: Proficient with precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and experienced with microscope/magnification visual inspection tools. Good knowledge of QA methodologies (SPC, FMEA, Control Plans).
Soft Skills: Sharp eye for detail, strong problem-solving capabilities, and excellent report-writing skills.
Languages: Good professional proficiency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. The ability to speak and write in Mandarin/Chinese is highly advantageous for internal team coordination and supplier communication.
